The Heritage Hotel in lies on the mighty MacKenzie River in a valley between the MacKenzie and Franklin Mountain Ranges. On the Northern bank of the River at
the edge of Arctic Circle is the community of Norman
Wells. With the development of an oilfield in the early 1900's Norman Wells prospered, and continues to host our newest breed of Northern Adventures. The discovery of new oil reserves, and exploration for ore, precious metals and gems occurs in our backyard.
Not hidden form view, but rarely taken full advantage of is the nature beauty of the Sahtu. Ideal for northern adventures, the Heritage Hotel provides accommodation at the terminus of the Canol Heritage Trail, a 250-mile long hiking trail.
